Staff and Leadership

Head of School

Neil Anderson is passionate about classical Christian education, and brings a range of gifts and talents to our growing school. He has a strong commitment to leadership development, discipleship, and ministering to families through our university-style approach. Mr. Anderson holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Wheaton College and has an M.A. in Liberal Arts at Houston Baptist University. Mr. Anderson previously served as Dean of Students at Baytown Christian Academy as well as associate pastor/elder at multiple churches in Houston and Chicago. Neil and his wife Marian have four children.

Campus & Office Coordinators

Heights Campus Director (Overseeing operations at the Heights campus): Kyle Bryant holds a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University and a law degree from Texas Tech University. He has spent the past four years practicing law in Houston but hopes to transition into an administrative role with Trinity Classical School in the Heights neighborhood. Aside from the law and classical education, he enjoys reading, basketball, and the cello.

Bethel Campus Director (Overseeing operations at the Bethel campus):  Joseph Christopherson holds a Bachelor's degree in philosophy from Colorado State University and a Master's degree in Liberal Arts from Houston Baptist University.  He has been teaching for two years.  His passion is teaching history.

Administrative Director and Admissions Coordinator:  Catha Jaynes holds a B.A. from Howard Payne University. She and her husband Ryan have one son who is in Kindergarten at Trinity Classical School. She spends her days that she is not at TCS with her son, and enjoys being at home with him. She loves people and enjoys working with staff and families at TCS.

Bethel Lower Campus Coordinator: Alyssa Graham holds a B.S. in Psychology from Texas A&M University. She and her husband have two children at Trinity Classical School.

Heights Lower Campus Coordinator:  Kacie Nyholt (Eloquim) holds a biology degree from University of Houston Clear Lake.  She has spent the last 10 years building and running a photography business with her husband and raising her three kids.  She enjoys a good cup of coffee, camping, gardening, curling up with a book and sewing.  

Upper Campus Coordinator: Rebekah Fong graduated from Berean Christian Academy in Humble, Texas. She attended classes at Harris County Community College. Mrs. Fong is a native Houstonian who spent ten years working for Continental Airlines in customer service. She and her husband work with the children's ministry at Christ the King Presbyterian Church. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her husband and two children.

Finance Coordinator: Lindsey Webb holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University and a law degree from Texas Tech University. She loves spending time with her husband and two children. When her kids are old enough, she looks forward to enrolling them at Trinity Classical School. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and reading.

Publications Coordinator:  Kristi Campbell holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Baylor University.  She and her husband Peter have one daughter at Trinity Classical School-Heights Campus.  When she is not teaching her daughter she enjoys cooking and spending time being active indoors and outdoors with her family.

Academic Directors

Primer School Director:  Mrs. Marian Anderson graduated from Baylor University. Mrs. Anderson is bilingual in Spanish and English, having been born in Argentina and lived half of her childhood there. She has extensive experience in early childhood education through running a preschool program, teaching her own Spanish language classes to young children, and homeschooling her own children before the founding of TCS. She has been involved in building the foundation of TCS through curriculum and training development, teaching first grade and serving as substitute teacher. She is mom to four children, all of whom attend TCS.

Grammar School Director:  Michelle Christopherson holds a B.A. in Sociology from Texas A&M University.  She taught second grade for seven years and has tutored in a variety of settings for many more. She is passionate about educating children so that they will know how to love the Lord their God with all their mind. In addition to this she enjoys spending her time reading, dancing, and almost anything outdoors, especially rock climbing.

Logic School Director:  Mr. Tim Woods is heavily dedicated to the Upper School, serving as Logic Director, 9th Grade Humanities teacher (see below), Cross Country assistant coach, and Latin instructor.

Academic Dean and Rhetoric School Director: Dr. John Scholl leads our Rhetoric School, oversees academic development at TCS, and teaches 10th Grade Humanities.  He is married to Dr. Lindsey Scholl, TCS 7th Grade Humanities teacher.

Primer Faculty (Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten)

Mandy Adamitis (Kindergarten-Heights) holds a B.A. in English Literature with a minor in History from Texas A&M University. She has spent the last four years teaching kids through volunteer work with various children's ministries. She enjoys reading, baking, singing, and spending all of her extra time with her nieces and nephews. This will be her first year teaching at TCS.


Cody Andras (Pre-K/K Fine Arts) is a native Houstonian who attended college at Elon University in North Carolina. She has a Master's Degree in Biblical Studies from Moody Theological Seminary in Chicago. In addition to teaching at Trinity, she also enjoys writing and teaching women's Bible study curriculums and seeing people come to know and enjoy the Lord and His Presence.


Clare Hatch (Kindergarten-Heights) holds a BS in Special Education from the University of Houston. She married with two children, ages 16 and 9.  Clare is very excited to begin my first year of teaching at TCS!  She has many other interests such as reading, growing in her faith, enjoying outdoors activities, fitness, cooking, and living a natural lifestyle.  


Michelle Lopez (Pre-K-Heights) holds a B.A. from the University of Houston. She has taught English and Latin at Paideia Classical Education Program, and is currently a Latin tutor for students of all ages. She enjoys spending time with her two year old daughter, leading a small group with her husband, and exploring parks and museums around Houston.


Star Smith (Pre-K) holds a B.S. in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Houston Baptist University. She has taught in Spring Branch ISD as well as in many volunteer roles for children and adults in her local church. She loves serving in ministry alongside her husband, Stephen, shepherding their four children, leading worship through song, studying the Bible in depth, and reading every spare minute.


Freya Stoltz (Pre-K) holds a B.S. in Bilingual Education from Texas Southern University. She has taught and tutored at La porte ISD for about 10 years. She currently attends Easthaven Baptist church where she and her husband teach Sunday School to 5th and 6th graders. She enjoys cooking, trying new recipes, reading and spending time with her family.


Autumn Chambers (Kindergarten) holds a B.S in elementary education from Texas Tech University. She has 10 years teaching experience combined from previously teaching in Houston ISD and TCS. She is passionate about Christ-centered education and has enjoyed becoming immersed in classical education. This will be her sixth year as a co-teacher at TCS. She is also involved in teaching in her church's children's ministry. She has 4 children, 3 of whom attend TCS. She enjoys being with her family (hopefully outside in beautiful weather), reading (a lot), traveling (anywhere and everywhere), and eating (preferably good food with friends).


Lisa McCalip (Kindergarten/Fine Arts elective) holds degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education from Baylor University. She has five sons, three of whom are grown. She has homeschooled for many years. She enjoys backpacking, kayaking, gardening, and spending time with her precious students. This is her fifth year teaching at TCS.


Janice Stolle (Kindergarten) has taught many years in preschool, public school and home school settings. She holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Master's Degree in Reading and Language Arts from Oakland University in Michigan. Mrs. Stolle has homeschooled her own children for the last six years, classically for five. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys travel, health, nutrition and fitness through natural living. This is Mrs. Stolle's third year at TCS.


Theresa Tarn (Kindergarten/Fine Arts elective) holds a B.S. in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin. Upon entering the teaching field, Mrs. Tarn grew a passion for teaching children the basic skills of art and design. She has 12 years of experience in teaching art for Kindergarten through 8th grade at public and private schools. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, crafting, singing, snowboarding, hiking, and spending time with her husband and 4-year old daughter.


Grammar Faculty (Grades 1 - 4)

Lolita Colom (1st Grade) holds a B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin. She taught elementary and middle school for nine years. This is her third year teaching First Grade at TCS. She enjoys tutoring students, baking, reading, family dinners, and traveling with her husband.


Meredyth DeBoer (1st Grade-Heights) holds a B. S. degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University. She has taught Kindergarten and 1st grade for 13 years in the Klein Independent School District. She enjoys reading, bicycling, Bible study, volunteering, spending time with her 2 adult children and traveling with her husband, Mark. She has a passion for teaching students how to read.


Andrea Horton (1st Grade) holds a B.A. in English and Secondary Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. She has taught for ten years in public middle and high schools. She is involved in the children's ministry at her church. She enjoys reading and playing games with her three girls.

Pam Jackson (1st Grade/Staffing Coordinator) holds a B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin. She is grateful to the Lord for allowing her to teach at Trinity Classical School. She enjoys co-laboring with families as their first grade students come to love learning. Her favorite activity is anything that includes her two precious daughters and her husband of 28 years, Jay. Her favorite subjects are History and Literature.

Kelly Yoon (1st Grade) holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from East Texas Baptist University and a Master of Arts from the University of Texas at Tyler.  She has taught English at Lone Star College for ten years.  She is an avid reader, gardener, and seamstress.

Jenny Botens (2nd Grade) holds a B.A. in Psychology from Texas A&M University and attended Dallas Theological Seminary where she was pursuing a M.A. in Christian Education. She taught preschool for many years and has homeschooled her two daughters, who attend TCS, for the past 4 years.  She is very active in her church teaching in both children and adult ministries. In her spare time she enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends.   

Joseph Christopherson (2nd Grade/Cross Country) holds a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from Colorado State University. He is currently attending Houston Baptist University to obtain a Master's Degree in Liberal Arts. He taught in the Children's Ministry at Timberline Church in Colorado for four years prior to moving to Houston.

Michelle Christopherson (2nd Grade) holds a B.A. in Sociology from Texas A&M University. She has previously taught second grade at Baytown Christian Academy and is beginning her fourth year at TCS. She is passionate about educating children so that they will know how to love the Lord their God with all their mind.

Sally Johnson (2nd Grade-Heights) holds a B.A. in English and Biblical Languages from Houston Baptist University. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Education in School Counseling from the University of St. Thomas. Sally taught logic-level Latin at Providence Classical School for four years. She enjoys traveling with her husband, serving at their church, spending time with her two dogs, collecting vintage china, adding to a never-ending reading list, and exploring Texas state parks.

Mandy Kisiel (2nd Grade) graduated from Texas A & M in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Interdisciplinary Studies. Mandy married James Kisiel in 1993 and has happily served along his side in the US Army for the past 24 years. She has home educated their 3 children Shelby, Meghan and Sam from the beginning, which equates to 19 years of teaching. In addition to educating her children, Mandy has enjoyed 13 years of being on staff in two churches as children's ministry director and children's worship director. Mandy loves all things Narnia and finds great happiness discussing the works of CS Lewis and authors in kind. When not working on writing children's stories or teaching her son, you can find Mandy outside watering her gardens, watching birds and walking the two largest Old English Sheepdogs on the block with an honorable mention to Pippen, her beloved GoldenDoodle.

Rachel Peterson (2nd Grade) holds a B.A. in Sociology from Texas A&M University. She has been a teachers' aide for TCS for the last two years. She enjoys reading and helping out in her church nursery, as well as spending time with her many nieces and nephews.

Laura Alexander (3rd Grade) holds a B.S. in Psychology from Texas A&M University. She previously taught second grade at a Classical school for three years. She enjoys working with kids and watching them grow in their walk with the Lord and in their eduction.

Christine St. Amant (3rd Grade) holds a BA in Education from Baylor University. She has previously taught Pre-K for 5 years and third grade for 8 years in Frisco and Katy ISD. She is excited to be beginning her first year at TCS. She enjoys swimming and spending time with her family.

Jamie Martin (3rd Grade) holds a B.S. in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. She has taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade in Aldine ISD and at KIPP Houston. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Britt, and restoring furniture in her spare time.

Sarah Webb (3rd Grade) holds a BA in Elementary Education from the Masters College and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Houston Baptist University.  She completed her student teaching in 1st and 3rd grade at Second Baptist School, and has taught 3rd grade at TCS for one year.  She loves spending time with her husband and their puppy outdoors.

Megan Fast (4th Grade) holds a BS in Education from Sam Houston State University. She taught 6th and 7th grade ELA for four years, in Katy ISD, before becoming a stay-at-home mom. She looks forward to pursuing her passion for teaching again, especially in a Christ-centered school.

Jenny Leach (4th Grade) holds a B.S. in K-8 education from Liberty University. She has taught middle school English and math, worked in the children's ministry of several churches, taught in different homeschool programs, and homeschooled her children for seven years. She loves reading, spending time with her family, and traveling.

Joelyn Phillips (4th Grade) holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the College of Charleston, SC, and holds an MBA from the University of Texas, Arlington.  Mrs. Phillips taught at Trinity Classical for two years (2014-2015, 2015-2016).  She also taught for Classical Conversations for four years.  She enjoys running, cycling, swimming, and reading.

Gambrill Wagner (4th Grade) holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Rice University and a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She has taught at Science E.L. Furr High School for 3 years and Children's Sunday School at St. Luke's United Methodist Church.  She organizes the TCS Noctua Poetica poetry competition and Grammar School His-Story Days.

Logic and Rhetoric School Faculty (Grades 5 - 11)

Jasmine Kelley (Upper School Theatre) holds a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Philosophy from Houston Baptist University. She is a first-time teacher and excited to be part of the TCS community. Ms. Kelley is currently a player in an improv troupe. Acting is one of her long time loves and she has spent years on stage, in front of the camera, and backstage.  

Belinda Stanley (Logic School Math/Science) holds a degree in Zoology from Texas A&M University at College Station. She has taught at St. Thomas' Episcopal, Houston, and The Kinkaid School, Houston. She enjoys reading, travel, her five grandchildren, and being involved with her church and BSF.

Jane Betsy Dodson (5th Grade Math/Science) holds a B.A. in English and Secondary Education certificate from The University of Texas and a Primary Education certificate from Houston Baptist University.
She taught Fourth grade in all subjects in Fort Bend ISD and Houston ISD for 9 years. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, three boys, and pets and is currently training for her fourth marathon.

Michelle Graves (5th Grade Humanities) holds a BA in Classical Studies from the University of Houston and an MA from from Boston University. This is her fourth year to teach at Trinity. Previously she scooped ice cream at Baskin Robbins, worked as a draftsman for an engineering company, tutored homeschoolers, and taught at St. Thomas' Episcopal School. She loves seeing her children and students learn to walk with the Lord.

Reagan Hand Israel (5th Grade Humanities) holds a B.S. in psychology from the University of Houston. Having studied Latin since 5th grade, she enjoys sharing a long-time interest with her students. Besides her work at TCS, Ms. Israel teaches classical ballet and is certified by the American Ballet Theatre. She enjoys playing her piano, catching frogs, and studying with her husband.

Erin Stearns (5th Grade Math/Science) holds a B.S in Education with minors in Science and English Literature from Western Michigan University. She taught 6th and 7th grade science, as well as coached girls basketball and track, at a middle school in Fort Bend ISD for eight years. She has spent the past 3 years staying at home with her two boys. Her free time is spent playing with her two boys, spending time with her husband, Mik, and running/working out. She is overjoyed to teach at TCS, where she can weave truth about God's love and faithfulness into her lessons.

Whitney Hill (6th Grade Math/Science) has a Bachelor of Science from Howard Payne University with a major in Kinesiology and a minor in Mathematics, and a Master's Degree in Education from Houston Baptist University. She has taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Earth Science at First Baptist Academy; a variety of subjects at Christian Academy in Mozambique, Africa; Elementary PE at Eliot Elementary; and assisted in a study hall program at Lutheran High North. This is her second year teaching sixth grade math and science at TCS. She enjoys reading, exercising, sports, couponing, organizing, and hanging out with her family. When not at TCS, Mrs. Hill could be doing any of these things along with coaching her younger daughter's basketball team and attending her older daughter's sporting events.

Melanie McNeese (6th Grade Math/Science and 8th Grade Math) holds a BA in mathematics and religious studies from Albion College (Albion, MI), an MPH in epidemiology from the University of Michigan, and a PhD in epidemiology and biological sciences from The University of Texas Health Science Center - Houston. She has worked as a researcher for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Houston Health Department. Dr. McNeese is grateful for the opportunity to share her love of math and science with the next generation. In her spare time, you can find her cooking or exercising. She and her husband have 4 children enrolled at TCS.

Whitney Wiley (6th Grade Humanities/Latin) holds degrees in English and Secondary Education from Wheaton College.

Christi Williams (6th Grade Humanities) holds a PhD in Philosophy from Baylor University.  She has taught at Trinity Classical School and Houston Baptist University.  She is a mother of two, an artist, and enjoys trees, books, music, and coffee shops.

Matthew Duston (7th Grade Humanities) holds a Bachelors in Speech Communication from Texas A&M University, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University. He has taught Communication at McCullough Jr. High, was Headmaster at Oak Ridge Christian Academy, and Principal of Clay Road Baptist School. He and his wife, Julie, raise four children: Haeleigh, Tyler, Abbigle, and Keightlyn, and enjoy serving at Church Project in The Woodlands.

Rona Hansen (7th Grade Math/Science and Introductory Drawing - Logic School Eloquim) graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelors in Business Administration, though she started her first year as a Physics major. She has studied Fashion Design at Art Institute of Seattle. This is her second year teaching 7th grade Math and Science. She will also be teaching Introductory Drawing during Logic School Eloquim. She has also taught Mandarin Chinese, sewing and is presently a Yoga and Pilates instructor. She has served alongside her husband in Youth and Family ministries for 18 years.

Sarah Pfannenschmidt (8th Grade Humanities) is a confessed word-hoarder and story lover who pursued both subjects all the way to the UK and then to Texas, which she maintains was a fortuitous, if unexpected, itinerary. En route to Houston she acquired Master's degrees from Oxford, Aberystwyth University, and UT Austin. If she's not currently making a mess in the kitchen or staying active, she is reading (copiously!) and exchanging wordplay with friends over board games. It is a joy for her to be able to return to TCS and she desires that her students will pursue Christ's call to excellence in all things.

Dorothy Geiger (Rhetoric School Math/Science) holds a BA degree with a major in mathematics from Baylor University. She has taught math and coached volleyball and basketball in high school for 12 years prior to having children. Since having her two children she has tutored high school math and continued to coach volleyball, soccer, baseball, and basketball. She has two children that attend TCS, Chloe and Andrew.

Mark Palmer (Rhetoric School Algorithms) holds a B.A. in Economics from Rice University. He works as

a technology consultant and this is his third year to teach Algorithms at TCS.

Dr. Angela Webb (Rhetoric School Math/Science) holds a BS in biochemistry and genetics from Texas A&M University and a Ph.D. in molecular biology from University of Texas- GSBS. This is her first year teaching at the high school level, and she is excited about sharing her love of math, science, and the Creator of all!

Dr. Christi Williams (6th Grade Humanities) holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Baylor University. She has taught at Baylor, Houston Baptist University, and Houston Community College. She enjoys drawing and painting, hiking, and philosophy.

Tim Woods (9th Grade Humanities) holds a B.A. in Classical Languages from The University of Missouri at Columbia and is finishing a M.A. in Educational Ministries from Covenant Theological Seminary. He taught Latin and Humanities at Heritage Classical Christian Academy in St. Louis for two years and looks forward to beginning his first year at TCS. He enjoys playing and watching sports (especially his hometown St. Louis Cardinals and Tigers from his alma mater of Mizzou), watching old movies, and playing board games with friends and family.

Allie Sue Howard (8th/9th Grade Math) holds a BS in Biology from the University of Dallas. She has taught at Our Lady of Fatima Homeschool Co-op, lab assisted and tutored at the University of Dallas, and worked as a private tutor since high school. Some of her favorite activities include birdwatching, reading, and traveling with her husband.

Kate Patrick (8th Grade Science/Chemistry & Physics) holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Oklahoma where she taught while in graduate school. She worked in the petroleum industry for 8 years and is pleased to begin teaching this fall at TCS.

Dr. Lindsey Scholl (10th Grade Humanities/Latin Chair) holds a doctorate in Roman History from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Master's degree in Medieval History from the University of Missouri-Columbia. In addition to her administrative duties, she has the privilege of teaching Second Form and Fourth Form Latin to TCS Logic School students. Dr. Scholl is a writer and speaker on a variety of subjects, including education, and has published three youth fantasy novels.

Dr. John Scholl (11th Grade Humanities) holds a Ph.D. in History, with an emphasis in Medieval Christianity, from the University of California Santa Barbara. While pursuing a Ph.D., he was awarded a Fulbright scholarship that allowed him to live for nine months in Torino, Italy. He loves teaching and has taught a diverse range of classes and students: Math & Bible to middle schoolers, Geography and Economics to high schoolers, surveys of Western Civilization and U.S. History to college freshmen, and Church History to seminary students. Dr. Scholl also serves as TCS's Rhetoric School Director and Academic Dean. (See below.)

Teaching Assistants and Substitute Teachers

Susan Adams (Office Aide) graduated from Alief Hastings High school and has attended Houston Community College. She was the Mother's Day Out director at Wilcrest Baptist Church for three years and was the Pre-school director for seven years. She is currently the Third Grade Sunday School teacher and an AWANA leader. Mrs. Adams is a charter TCS parent and has three children attending this year. She enjoys walking, watching movies, and scrapbooking when she finds the time. This is her seventh year at TCS and she finds the classical university model of education to be very rewarding.

Hannah Ashworth (Heights TA) is a homeschool graduate who is pursuing a degree in Anthropology. She has enjoyed assisting various teachers throughout the years, tutoring, and teaching classical ballet. She is passionate about helping students see God's glory and grace in every situation.

Rebecca Blackshear (Aide-Heights) is a homeschool graduate and is currently on faculty at the Houston Ballet Academy. She has trained and performed with professional ballet company, Ballet Magnificat, along with Houston based company, Ad Deum II. Rebecca has many years of teaching experience through classical ballet, including living and working in the southeastern African country of Malawi.  She greatly enjoys working with children and also has an interest in pursuing education in Nutrition.

Ellen Cline (Aide) holds a bachelor's degree in Art with a focus on Ceramics and Sculpture from Union University. She has spent the last few years making creative ceramic tableware for restaurant and cafe use, as well as teaching ceramics privately. She was classically educated from 3rd to 12th grade while growing up in Central Asia and the Middle East. She gets excited about community development, bridge-building, and keeping her many house plants alive.

Rachel Davis (Permanent Sub/Fine Arts) holds a B.B.A. in marketing from Baylor University. She enjoys serving in children's ministry at Grace Bible Church. This is her family's fourth year at TCS. Mrs. Davis considers it a privilege and a blessing to participate in a child's education.

Traci Gibert (Teacher Aide) holds an M.Ed. in Counselor Education from Texas Tech and an M.A. in School Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University. She loves exploring nature with her two sons and seeing the world through their eyes.

Patti Hinze (Teacher Aide) holds a B.A. in English from Texas A&M University. She has taught high school English in Southlake, Texas, English as a Foreign Language in Szigetszentmiklos, Hungary, special education at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, and currently enjoys teaching her own three children on home days. She finds joy in hiking with her family, watching birds, reading aloud to her kids, and painting with watercolors.

Bronwyn Rapp (Upper School TA) holds a degree in Business Communications from the University of Kansas. She and husband, Todd, have six children who are students at TCS. She enjoys reading, cleaning and dates nights with Todd.

Leah Smith (Teacher Aide) possesses a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in science and is an Early Childhood-4th grade Texas certified teacher with an additional ESL certification. Originally from East Texas, she now resides in Houston with her husband, three dogs, and three cats.

Stephen Vaughan (Upper School TA) holds a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology. He has led physical exercise group activities at different jobs throughout his life. He is especially interested in philosophy and literature to round out a holistic education.

Ana Walla (Upper School TA) holds a B.B.A. from the University of Houston. She has facilitated classes at North Houston Baptist School. She is currently involved in children's ministry teaching Sunday school and kids church at North Houston Baptist Church. She is grateful for the opportunity that God has given her to teach children about God our Creator and his redemptive love shown through his son Jesus Christ.


Myra Yang (Aide) Ms. Myra Yang holds a Bachelor's degree from Wellesley College. She is currently working towards her Master's degree in Education at the University of Houston. She has worked in an administrative support role and as a youth intern for her home church and in her free time, continues to volunteer with the youth group.



Elaine Calvert (PE) holds a degree in Hospitality Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University. After 10 years in Nonprofit Management and Fundraising, she transitioned to stay-at-home mom when her daughter was born in 2007. The Calvert family has attended TCS since 2012.

The Cross Country coaching staff consists of Joseph Christopherson (Head Coach/Second Grade teacher), and coaching assistants Stephen Vaughan (Upper School TA),  Sarah Webb (3rd Grade), and Tim Woods (Logic School Director).


Holly Palandro is a graduate of both Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and The University of Houston Moores School of Music. She has over 16 years of teaching experience including Piano, General Music, Voice, Choir, Band, Production, and Music Administration. As well as being an Award-Winning Educator within the public school system, Holly has also served as the Director of Children's Music at Lakewood Church for many years. She currently teaches private Piano Lessons and is the Director of All Things Music Academy. Holly and her husband, John-Mark, have 2 children who attend TCS and recently welcomed a new baby to their family. Holly enjoys being with her family, attending musicals, and spending as much time as possible at the beach. With a passion for seeing students achieve more than they thought was possible, she is excited to have the opportunity to work with the students at TCS.

Nina Cook attended Juilliard School Of Music in NYC for six years as a child studying violin, classical guitar at the Eli Kassner (prodigy of Andres Segovia) in Toronto, Canada as well as many TV and other performances as a singer.  She attended Trent University as a literature major and went on to study opera in NYC, performed in various ensembles while living there and then attended The Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles, Ca.  Many years of private vocal study, performing, recording and teaching experience have led her to help develop the necessary skills to inspire and develop every student's potential that she blessed to teach.

Brandon and Jeannine Cavazos: Brandon and Jeannine graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio. Brandon holds a degree in Business Administration and was a member of the Trinity Tigers football team. He is currently Manager of Finance for an energy company. Jeannine graduated with a degree in Psychology. The Cavazoses have five children, and their four oldest attend TCS.

Rob & Karen Kwok:  Rob graduated from Baylor University (B.B.A.) and the University of Houston Law Center (J.D.), and is the managing partner of Kwok Daniel Ltd LLP. Karen graduated from University of St. Thomas (B.A.). The Kwoks have four children, all attending TCS.

Eric and Olivia Ober: Eric is a partner in his family's metal fabrication business and is also a nationally recognized sculptor. Eric holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University. Olivia holds a B.A. in Christianity and Finance from Houston Baptist University and an M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston. The Obers have seven children, four of whom attend TCS.

Clark and Michelle Reynolds: Clark is a graduate of Tulane University with a B.A. in Political Economy and is the CEO of Millennium Relief and Development Services. Michelle is a graduate of The University of Denver with a B.S./B.A. in Finance and Marketing. The Reynolds have three children, two of whom are students at TCS.

Bob and Jeannie Smith: Bob is a Financial Advisor with the Texas Financial Group. He earned a B.B.A. in Business from University of Louisiana at Monroe and a M.B.A. in Finance from Louisiana Tech. Jeannie has a C.P.A. license with a B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University. The Smiths have one child in the TCS Rhetoric School.

Christian and Natasha Tracy: Christian and Natasha both graduated from Hillsdale College in Michigan. Christian holds an undergraduate degree in Business, and ran cross country and track while at Hillsdale. He also holds an MBA from the University of Houston, and works in finance and strategy.  Natasha graduated with a degree in History and Economics. The Tracys have three children, and their two oldest attend TCS.

Mark and Jennifer Palmer (sabbatical): Mark holds a B.A. in Economics from Rice University and works as a consultant. Jennifer holds a B.A. in Marketing from Texas A&M University and a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. The Palmers have two children, both of whom attend TCS.
